Education

Blog

Since the 1990s STEM is a term used to refer to education policies to improve competitiveness in science and technology development. But is much more, because it has implications for workforce development,
teaching frameworks, industries, no formal education, etc. Is a term that also involves the equity of a
country and some challenges like the gender gap. In the beginning, the objectives were: to explore the
implementation of curricula that is improving math and science in the education system, know the best
practices in classrooms and experiential learning activities, like maker spaces. Besides, discuss policy
initiatives and public/private partnerships to accelerate students learning with diverse backgrounds in STEM subjects.

And last but not least review of technological innovation in science education and programs that
promote scientific literacy in the workforce can be thought of as the communication of the beliefs and
accumulated knowledge of the world. In that sense, it is equal to what cultural scientists term acculturation or enculturation Education is designed to guide individuals in teaching society, shaping their behavior in the ways of adulthood, and leading them toward their ultimate role in society. In the most primitive civilizations, there is much little formal learning little of what one could normally call education or grades or instructors.

Rather, the whole situation and all activities are often regarded as education and classes, and
some or all adults function as teachers. The result is formal education, education and the doctor named the educator/teacher.

Climate change

Blog

With the effects of global warming becoming more apparent by the minute and an entire group of individuals in power denying climate change for the sake of profit, it may seem like the world is doomed.

It’s easy to give up when you feel hopeless when you feel like it’s not worth trying because you’re only one person.

As my time has progressed, I have realized countless horrifying climate events that have happened.
Whether it has been these riots for clean food in Mexico, the decimation of thousands of farms in
Bangladesh because of getting half the rain at 5 minutes.

These hundreds of earthquakes that shook Oklahoma and North Dakota because of extreme natural gas production, it’s no secret that this planet is in dire straits, and getting answers to deal with climate change may be pretty intimidating. But in Ghana, young people are willing to get these pieces, with some of the biggest moves run by a number of volunteers. Like the Youth Go Green Ghana, who are huge proponents of addressing climate change on home earth.

International Women's Day

Blog

International Women’s Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the
cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. It is also a focal point in the women’s
rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence
and abuse against women.

This year’s theme for the International Women’s Day 2022 campaign is: #BreakTheBias
Women have faced a lot of bias, inequalities, and discrimination, in communities, workplaces, schools,
just to mention a few.

Women’s empowerment is a critical aspect of achieving gender equality. It includes increasing a
woman’s sense of self-worth, her decision-making power, her access to opportunities and resources, her
power and control over her own life inside and outside the home, and her ability to effect change.
Youth Go Green Ghana is an advocate for gender equality and we look forward to a world where
difference is valued and celebrated. This can only be achieved when we do it together
Collectively, we can all #BreakTheBias.

Gender Disparity

Blog

The global trend towards extreme wealth and income increase has dramatically strengthened the economic and political strength of those people who are overwhelmingly males at the top. Around the world, women continue to remain underrepresented at high-level, extremely given positions, and overrepresented at low-paying jobs. Women of colour especially are underrepresented in higher levels of government, business, and private sector, Now I understand that we all know what gender discrimination is to a certain extent, but I don’t believe most people truly understand what it means, or what it looks like (outside of the person being discriminated against that is). As a proponent of diversity, challengers often times use the example of fairness.

“You shouldn’t hire or promote someone based on race or gender, but on talent and merit.”

To this I say, I have never found a supporter of diversity who disagrees with this sentiment, but I do believe that a much bigger point is missed. Hiring or promoting a person is not as simple as selecting the best talent in a draft. Sports and corporate talent are not one-to-one comparisons. There is no per-game average you can look to when deciding these things. Decisions often times come down to relationships and trust” which oftentimes means “who do I know and who do I like” ave especially higher levels of poverty, unemployment, and
other economic hardships. Gender discrimination and harassment at this workplace contribute significantly to these continual economical divides.
